The Kilcoona Set was composed by Kevin Monaghan with help from his dancing
friends in Basingstoke, England. Kilcoona is a small village in North Galway
in the parish of Caherlistrane. Kevin grew up and went to school in this
area, and Kilcoona is the home of Matt Cunningham, who has been a wonderful
musician for set and céilí dancers for more than 60 years. Matt has recorded
more than 20 CDs for Irish dance and has played a major part in the revival
and promotion of Irish music and dance worldwide.
All swings are in céilí hold.
