51 - Tracked More Down

After completing the third Antipodean mix I had a bit of a blank slate. I also had a large chunk of music I’d bought from TrackItDown that had yet to find its way into a mix. I was also in the mood for some classic trance music to keep me hacking on the new mixes website.

The result was this mix, another huge classic and one I’m still really enjoying listening to.

One minor wrangle with working with the mix was that I’d purchased several copies of a couple of tracks. The Oliver Lieb and EDU remixes of “Amber”, several mixes of “Amazon”, and two of “Rain Stars Eternal” – but though they’re in the same key and similar BPM I can’t really mix them together into one 27 minute “Amazon” track, can I? “Amber” I used in two different places during the mix; for the other two, I did my own hardly-deserves-the-name mash-up, mixing the tracks into eachother to create one slightly longer but seamless mix of each song.
